RMC Originals - New National Mahjong Day Event

Hello everyone!

As the countdown begins for the very first National Mahjong Day here in the United States, we have some sad and good announcements!

We originally wanted to attempt to break the Guinness World Records for the longest Mahjong marathon, but we were unable to get enough players and helpers required to fulfill the event by the deadline. Thank you to everyone who contacted us! We will re-attempt this for next year’s National Mahjong Day, so please have the first week of August open, and let us know now if you are interested so we can fill you in with the details early.

From the feedback we gathered, it was not enough time to plan a trip to California due to other events going on. We were also told that a trip to another state would be too much in expenses and it would not work out for them. Some just couldn’t get time off work to focus on Mahjong. Also, August 1st falls on a week day this year, so that was also a reason for not being able to travel. 

So what are we going to do instead? We came up with a solution!

We will be hosting a world wide stream on YouTube so everyone can participate! This will be on the weekend of August 1st, so majority of the people in the community can make time easier to participate.

The idea is to have a 24 hour or more Mahjong stream marathon that would connect all Mahjong enthusiasts to share something to everyone else! This is open to everyone in the Mahjong community. If you are part of the community, we would love to have you on board!

There won’t be many restrictions so the sky is the limit for what you want to do!
